What a harrowing, convoluted, and dramatic set of circumstances.
Not a place I would venture alone, but glad you made it out safely. There is some high humor here and without a doubt I’m sure you made a spicy impression on the TL, at least briefly.

Truly a lovely piece, Julie. The Tenderloin is raw and gritty; human emotion and experience are everywhere laid bare, but therein lies its real beauty, and the reason why I love it so much. There is far more to be found that is admirable, noble, and beautiful than there is of sadness, ugliness, and brutality. It just doesn’t get more real than the Tenderloin.
